After being teased on video earlier this week, the all-new 1Password 4 for iOS made its debut in the App Store overnight, complete with a more than 50 percent discount for a limited time to celebrate its arrival.
AgileBits Inc. has released 1Password 4 for iOS, the latest and greatest version of the company's popular app for keeping your password safe and secure on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
Available now for the launch price of $7.99, 1Password 4 for iOS looks like a completely new app with a fresh coat of paint. Because the app is a completely new build, users new and old will have to purchase it again, which is why the developer is offering a more than 50 percent discount off for a limited time.
1Password 4 for iOS now syncs data via iCloud as well as Dropbox, and can even do both at the same time. This is important, since 1Password for Mac has yet to be updated to support iCloud, allowing iOS users to continue to sync their data across all of their devices and computers.
The new version also adds Favorites and Folders, with a built-in web browser that finally replicates the same great login experience from the desktop.
1Password 4 for iOS is a universal app requiring iOS 6 or later; while the older 1Password 3 is no longer available for sale, those who have purchased it will be able to continue to use it with pre-iOS 6 devices -- just be sure not to delete your copy, since it doesn't show up via iTunes in the Cloud for redownload.
