Online security is on the minds of all internet users right now in the wake of Heartbleed, so there's no better time than the present to unleash one of the biggest updates yet for the iOS version of user favorite 1Password.
AgileBits today announced the release of 1Password 4.5 for iOS, a free update for existing customers that delivers a fresh new look to a familiar face along with a bevy of new features.
Aside from the newly flattened user interface that now fits in perfectly with iOS 7, 1Password for iOS introduces support for multiple vaults, a feature introduced on the Mac version late last year. Multiple vaults allow users to separate home and work passwords or set up different users entirely and share passwords among them.
Version 4.5 also allows mobile users to search wherever you need it as well as tag saved items to make them easier to find later. The app is also AirDrop enabled for easy sharing of saved data, adds support for multiple Dropbox accounts, and improves Wi-Fi sync; additionally, both the app and its data are now smaller than ever.
Along with 1Password 4.5 for iOS, AgileBits has also released 1Password 4.3 for Mac, which allows 1Password mini to search all of your saved data, adds a bevy of new keyboard shortcuts, and Secure Notes viewing. The Mac app also now supports fullscreen mode and is capable of syncing data from a USB drive.
Perhaps the best news of all is that both apps are currently on sale through this Friday, April 25 with a 50 percent discount that brings 1Password 4.5 for iOS down to $8.99 or 1Password 4.3 for Mac for only $24.99, available from either the AgileBits website or Mac App Store.
